Therapies Available

Cold Laser Therapy uses applied beams to improve tissue repair, pain reduction and inflammation reduction. This therapy is applied by Doctors, Therapists, or Technicians. Treatment sessions usually last ten minutes and are frequented two or more times weekly.

Cold Laser Therapy has been used on various sport injuries, arthritic joints, neuropathic pain syndromes, back pain, and neck pain for many years. Over two hundred clinical trials, randomized, have been published on Cold Laser Therapy mostly involving patient pain and after effects.

Many people find the sensation relaxing. With TENS, for example, the individual experiences a tingling, vibrating, or buzzing sensation.

The exact mechanism of electrical stimulation’s beneficial effect remains controversial. Electrical stimulation may directly block transmission of pain signals along nerves. In addition, electrical stimulation has been shown to promote the release of endorphins, the natural painkillers produced by the body.  We primarily use this type of therapy to ease acute pain syndromes, as well as helping to relax muscles that are in spasm or hypertonic, allowing adjustments to be performed more gently and effectively.

Medical Massage is result oriented and  the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a Physician. The therapist may use a variety of modalities or procedures during the treatment, but will focus the Medical Massage treatment only on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription.

We may utilize 30 minute sessions, or in more severe cases, 60 min sessions depending on the type of injury sustained.  Techniques for relaxation and enjoyment are also available of coarse, but this section is aimed at explaining the difference between the two.

We have onsite workout equipment for strengthening areas that have been compromised by injury.
